Vintage Yemenite Necklace with granulated and filigree work. Amulet box adorned with Antique Islamic silver coins dating as far as 13th Century AD. Necklace has a variety of Beads on it including antique low silver beads, copper beads ,agate stones ,color glass beads and more. This necklace follows a theme practiced in the 70's and 80's of introducing contemporary elements to Islamic traditional jewelry- making and in such combining elements like the Yemenite Amulet boxes and ornamental parts such as copper hanging balls and higher status antique Islamic coins to more modernist combinations of stones and beads. Size of Amulet box - 3 1/4 inch ( 8.2 cm ) . Length opened - 21 1/2 inch ( 55 cm ) . Total Weight : 3.11 oz ( 88.4 grams ) .

This necklace follows a theme practiced in the 70's and 80's of introducing contemporary elements to Islamic traditional jewelry- making and in such combining elements like the Yemenite Amulet boxes and ornamental parts such as copper hanging balls and higher status antique Islamic coins to more modernist combinations of stones and beads.Those together produce a fabulous piece of Jewelry that emulates both the Antique and contemporary into a complete piece of its own aesthetic quality and unique Character.
This Necklace was re-threaded and certain beads added for a more complete look (as it was in parts).Thread close clasp was added.
and few other small elements fixed and added for balance.
